Below is communication to Steve Wallace of SoMar about a Metro zoom type  meeting today Saturday Jan 22 which will discuss the routing of the proposed  train N-S from Van Nuys in the Valley connecting to the E-W Purple line in Westwood and the E-W Aqua-Expo line in West LA and then south  thru Mar Vista to at least the LAX airport. A ten year building project.

If you cannot attend today there is info on how to replay the video and still make comments for a couple of weeks.  Metro says “Sepulveda”  corridor but there has been discussion of moving the route furthur west into the heart of north – south Mar Vista.

Good afternoon, Mr. Wallace:

My name is John Saito, project manager for Murakawa Communications, a public affairs firm assisting with the community outreach program for the Metro Sepulveda Transit Corridor Project. The Metro project will create a high-quality, reliable transit service option connecting the San Fernando Valley and the Westside.

The project is currently in the planning phase. An environmental review process is beginning now with a public scoping period. During this time, the public can provide feedback on the various alternatives.
Due to COVID, all scheduled community outreach events have been postponed. But we would like to invite you and the South Mar Vista Neighborhood Association to attend Metro’s last virtual scoping meeting to be held this Saturday, Jan. 22, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

The scoping meetings have given all stakeholders an opportunity to learn more about the project and to provide public comments through the link until February 11, 2022 The meeting link and other project details are below.

If you aren’t able to attend, you can view a video recording of the last scoping meeting and submit your comments via regular mail, email, online comment form or phone. The last day to submit comments is Friday, Feb. 11.

Metro is leading a robust stakeholder engagement program with the goal of building an inclusive vision that balances the unique needs of diverse corridor stakeholders.

If you have any questions, please let me know.
Thank you.
