Taste of SoMar!

The “Taste of SoMar” is happening Saturday, October 16th from 6-8PM on the back patio behind Earl’s Gourmet Grub and the Venice Grind Coffee Shop at 12226 Venice Boulevard.  If Earl’s door is locked enter through the Venice Grind or through the rear alley.

This is a “Thank You To Our South Mar Vista Neighborhood Association Members Party” in lieu of the October quarterly meeting for South Mar Vista Neighborhood Association members in good standing. Admission is by subscribing under “Stay Informed” at the blogsite http://www.southmarvista.org and by hopefully bringing a non-member neighbor to join with us in helping make SoMar a bigger network of involved citizens.

There will be sample foods provided by Earl’s Gourmet Grub on Venice Blvd. and  Louie’s of Mar Vista (new restaurant coming soon to Grand View Blvd.)  renowned Rockenwagner Bakery, 12835 W. Washington Blvd. has joined in. The Wood, 12000 W. Washington Blvd. will provide coffee and dessert. Fine Beer and Ale will be provided by the local SoMar brewmaster of Angel City Brewing. Wine and water will be available as well.

An exciting $75. Gift Certificate raffle prize was donated by our neighbor Mary Sue Milliken and her famous Border Grill restaurant as well as Free Margarita vouchers for new SoMar members. Also two of her famous cookbooks! A big thank you for other raffle donations including discount Gift Certificates from La Petite Creperie restaurant, 3809 Grand View Boulevard, a Gift Card from Curious Palate at 12034 Venice Blvd. and the Mar Vista Farmer’s Market is putting together a Tote full of goodies and another gift certificate!

Hope to see you there!

Sincerely,

South Mar Vista Neighborhood Association Board
