Downtown Mar Vista Beautification Meeting Wednesday Dec 9, 2020
The Downtown Mar Vista Beautification 2nd meeting is this Wednesday Dec 9th at 5:30 PM online on Zoom. Express your kudos or more concerns. The link to RSVP is directly below the flyer. Below the flyer is Councilman Bonin’s Mobility Deputy letter regarding this meeting. He also requests feedback separately on the Downtown Mar Vista project instead of or in addition to attending the Zoom meeting. Also there is a link to sign up for Councilman Bonin’s e-mail Newsletter wherein he explains his Police Cutbacks and Homeless Issues stances among other photo opportunities.
And below that is a link to our Zone 5 Director Michelle Krupkin’s MVCC Great Streets meeting scheduled to start directly after CD 11’s presentation and covering much of the same issue above but including the lane closure with a more grassroots viewpoint.
We want to thank everyone who has been engaged with our Downtown Mar Vista Beautification Project so far. We have learned a lot from our community meeting in October and many one-on-one conversations with business owners and stakeholders.
We welcome your continued engagement in the project and participate in the next meeting on December 9th at 530 pm – please RSVP here and see the event flyer attached. At this meeting we will review our outreach findings and showcase implementation ideas.
Whether you can attend on the 9th or not, we welcome any additional feedback on the project and welcome your thoughts as we move forward in beautifying the corridor. Don’t hesitate to reply to this email and connect with me directly – I’m happy to set up a call or connect with you online.
Thank you for all you do in Mar Vista and looking forward to connecting with each of you.

“Officer Appreciation Thanksgiving Dinner”
It’s almost time for our annual Pacific Officer’s Thanksgiving Appreciation Dinner and we would love to have your support & participation!
Showing our support of our officers is more meaningful than ever this year! Our Pacific Division officers are the “best” in caring for our interests, never blinking through all the ongoing chaos. Let’s give them a wonderful showing of support & “thanks” with our appreciation dinner.
If you are not familiar with this event, members of CPAB (Community Police Advisory Board), members of the Boosters, and community volunteers put on a huge buffet Thanksgiving meal for our officers the day before Thanksgiving with lots of left-overs for those working on the day of Thanksgiving.
THIS YEAR due to COVID- 19 there are some snags. Food must come from commercial sources and very few volunteer are allowed onsite at the station.. What can you do? We welcome your support via financial donations of “any” size!
It’s easy to do … simply click on this link bit.ly://officerappreciationand again, “any” size, $5+ is welcomed. Your names will be included on a card for all officers to see and all donations are also tax deductible. 501(C)3 Nonprofit #95-3971193Please spread the word... our flyer is below as an image and via this link you can download a pdf version:.
