And below that is a link to our Zone 5 Director Michelle Krupkin’s MVCC Great Streets meeting scheduled to start directly after CD 11’s presentation and covering much of the same issue above but including the lane closure with a more grassroots viewpoint.

Hi folks,
We want to thank everyone who has been engaged with our Downtown Mar Vista Beautification Project so far.  We have learned a lot from our community meeting in October and many one-on-one conversations with business owners and stakeholders.
We welcome your continued engagement in the project and participate in the next meeting on December 9th at 530 pm – please RSVP here and see the event flyer attached.  At this meeting we will review our outreach findings and showcase implementation ideas.
Whether you can attend on the 9th or not, we welcome any additional feedback on the project and welcome your thoughts as we move forward in beautifying the corridor.  Don’t hesitate to reply to this email and connect with me directly – I’m happy to set up a call or connect with you online.
Thank you for all you do in Mar Vista and looking forward to connecting with each of you.
Best,

Alek Bartrosouf

Attention Mar Vista!
MVCC Great Streets wants you to know!
Don’t miss out on this opportunity to tell CD11 and LADOT exactly what you want to happen on Venice Blvd. in downtown Mar Vista.

The Los Angeles Neighborhood Initiative (LANI) is managing the project in partnership with Studioneleven. Other sponsors include VisionZeroLA Great StreetsLADOT LivableCD11, and the Los Angeles Mayor’s Office.

This project will discuss, prioritize and implement pedestrian improvements. They are asking Mar Vista stakeholders: “How would you like to improve the pedestrian experience along Venice Blvd? This is an opportunity to inspire and contribute to ideas for enhancing the downtown Mar Vista experience. “

Local Gentrification Developments

Below  is a link to a story on the Developer who will build at the corner of Marcasel and Washington Blvd. starting soon. They will soon complete the building next to Costco which is the first of the pictures.  The surprise is the announcement of a new 100 unit development at Inglewood and Washington – which corner is the mystery. All these are in Culver City – two of which are South Mar Vista adjacent!
