Public Health and Food Carts

Two large trucks and personnel from LA County Department of Public Health aided by one LAPD cruiser and two officers made their presence known on Grand View Boulevard  near the Post Office in SoMar today. From this vantage point it looked like their haul consisted of three fresh fruit push carts loaded with sliced fruit. They did a supervised U-turn and were headed to Venice Boulevard, maybe to try and increase their load before the end of the day. Permit fees are expensive but required for all food vendors mobile or stationary.

To make semi-anonymous public complaints you can use this link to report Illegal Food Vending as well as  Unmaintained Swimming Pool to Mosquito Breeding to Animal Bites and more www.publichealth.lacounty.gov/report/phreports.htm
